Break…Break….BREAK!!!

[This blog post was written quite a few days ago... I love that I can schedule out when I want to post em' on here!]

So the Sista friend and I are currently watching Anne of Green Gables.

I am the happiest woman alive.

My favorite scene thus far?

Well, all of them really… but… I L-O-V-E this scene.

[Gilbert Blythe, rowing a boat, found Anne clinging to the post under a bridge]
Gilbert Blythe: Anne Shirley. What in heck are you doing here?
Anne Shirley: [trying to sound dignified] Fishing, for lake trout.

Seriously, it’s too funny!

Alright, so yea… maybe the Coulter Fam was sick for a week and we did absolutely nothing.

And perhaps I sounded like a man for the better part of my time in the USA.

But this break was w.o.n.d.e.r.f.u.l.

I was able to see a dear college friend get married.

Oh yea, and see a bunch of my college buddies-both at the wedding and at a New Years Eve Party.

…including this lovely lady!

And I enjoyed the beautiful snow in Pennsylvania from the confines of my hotel room and car.

And I was able to enjoy lots of cuddle time with the pups. Especially my Clemsters.

And I had a few wonderful tea/dinner dates with dear friends.

Including, lunch and a wedding dress fitting with my bestest friends!

And I went on a photoshoot adventure in DC.

And ate at Chipotle and Chik Fil A and embarked on an adventure in Target…

Oh, and I saw Les Miserables.

“To love another person is to see the face of God.”

If that is not powerful, I’m not sure what is!

And can we talk about the music in that movie?!? Geez!

Simply amazing.

And I played quite a few games of Dutch Blitz…

Heidi’s response when she found out the reigning champion of Dutch Blitz (me) was playing by the wrong rules the entire time… oops!

One of the highlights of my break though had to be…

Brunch.

With the Fam and Lucas.

Why?

Because we played ridiculous games.

Such as, going around-and-around sharing our New Years Resolutions. I am pretty sure we went around at least five times sharing some fairly unrealistic bold resolutions.

Examples:

Daddy-O: Run a 1/2 iron man

Mammacita: take a woodworking class (we got a good laugh out of this one!) and memorize the book of James

Me: run a marathon

Rach: budget her money and start selling crafts (please see my awesomely unique scarf ‘above’ done by the sista)

Lucas: read all of Lord of the Rings

“Take a picture of all of us Lucas…”
Fail.

This is what happens when you squish the three of us into the back of my mother’s small car…

Best. French. Toast. Ever.

And there you have it friends…a random and very incomplete collection of photos from my break.

Talk to you all from the other side of the Atlantic!
